Palmer Harding AW15 London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is upon us once more, where some of the world’s finest designers, alongside the brightest emerging talent, showcase their AW15 collections.

Strolling along the Mall on the way to the show.

Palmer Harding is a brand duo, Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding. I have never been to one of their shows before, but I thought the AW15 collection was beautiful. Having been described in the press as “designers of the world's most perfect shirts” Palmer//Harding is a British brand known best for the directional design and high quality of their modern shirting.

Elegant and contemporary: are two words that I would describe not only the Palmer // Harding's romantic AW15 collection, but the location for the show today. Set within the Institute Of Contemporary Arts, the Parmer Harding collection certainly matched the classic yet modern interior. Winter sunshine streamed in through the large glass windows, delicately lighting up the catwalk. The room was dressed with boxes of golden corn to give an 'outdoorsey' feel. This perfectly set the scene for a monochrome palette of garments to glide effortlessly down the catwalk. I loved the beautiful embriodery and I thought the boho plaited hair and fresh berry makeup gave an edginess to the presentation, for a youthful appeal.

The beauty look created by Makeup Artist Attracta Courtney, featured a range of Bourjois products to create a dark romantic winter berry stained lip, with natural pink flushed cheeks against the innocence of the skin’s matt complexion. I adore Bourjois Velvet Lips, as the colours are long lasting and definitely show-stopping.  This look is very wearable and I can't wait to try it out soon!

I even spied the gorgeous style icons Yasmine and Amber Le bon at the show.

Cheeky parlour

Barber & Parlour is a new funky three-floor beauty/lifestyle emporium on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch, offering various wonderful grooming treatments for men and women. There is a cute Cheeky Parlour for manicures and pedicures, Cheeky Hair by colourist Josh Wood for cool colours, cuts, and up-dos, a Beauty Store stocked with Cheeky products, and a Neville Barber for men's beard trims and haircuts. In my opinion, the Cheeky Parlour is the hottest place in London to get an essential beauty fix...no wonder I chose to pop in, and see what all the fuss is about!!

On the first floor, alongside Cheeky Hair by Josh Wood is a line-up of Cheeky manicure and pedicure services and two small groom rooms for waxing and lash/ eyebrow tinting. The Beauty Store is open plan in the parlour and sells a range of the Cheeky product line and items from Cowshed, Carmex, and Bourjois, among others.

I think the Cheeky Parlour is a funky hangout in Shoreditch, perfect for anyone looking for a good beauty hair and nail touch-up. I love Cheeky's old-school design- it is such a fun place to get glammed up for a night out or even for that casual fix we all love once in a while. Located in vibrant Red church street, the area is ideal. The beauticians were sweet, thorough and the 'simple mani' treatment left my nails perfectly painted.

I went for Cheeky's electric blue nail polish, with a silver tip and sparkles on my index finger!

For a special occasion, or just a casual nail fix, Barbour and Parlour is a fun place to go with a friend. You can have a delicious lunch and a fantastic treatment within a  reasonable price range. The Cheeky Parlour even has it's own 'selfie photo booth ', which is free to use (what more could you want?)
In my opinion, the atmosphere is spot on, with really friendly staff and lots of places to sit and relax while you wait for a nail technician to become available. There is a food and drink area which has a small menu offering cakes, quiches, toasties, juice, salads, tea and coffee. I ordered a gorgeous roast butternut squash salad... And although it took a long time to come, it tasted delicious and the staff were kind enough to delay my nail appointment for a few minutes.

I decided to go for a simple polish mani...and I loved it! My technician was such a perfectionist and she did a fantastic job. This manicure included a lovely hand massage, and the manicurist used an array of Cheeky's products....I need to get some of their Body cream!!

I ADORE the Cheeky range, with their fun cheeky names. I think they really appeal to the teenage market. The packaging is very simple, yet effective, with the cute flamingo outline. Cheeky's nail polishes are vibrant and last a long time, and what's more their colour range is fantastic (you can find your perfect colour)

Overall, I enjoyed my treatment and I would love to pop in to the cheeky parlour again soon! Have you been to Barbour and Parlour?

Valentine's Look 2015

Valentines Day is coming up fast, and I have selected a PERFECT romantic outfit for this saturday. I love a splash of red, whether on the lips or a dress; red is an indulgent colour which can showcase anybody's look. For the makeup, I recommend Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories Palettes to create a sexy smokey eye which can be built up easily to intensify the look (I have blogged about these beautiful palettes here) A darker lip is essential for a good night out, and I love Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in shades Hot Pepper or Nude-ist! Bourjois' CC cream is another great product which keeps your skin looking fresh and super soft (like a baby's bottom) as well as hiding those nasty spots.

All makeup from Bourjois, which you can buy at Beautymart, Asos, Boots, Superdrug.

Black Wonderbra- £32
Clutch Bag- £30
Jewellery (all from Orelia)
Bourjois So Laque Beige Glamour Nail Polish- £5.99

I have put together a selection of different items that will look fantastic on Valentines day. Go for something very simple, like a plain coloured bodycon dress. I like to jazz up my outfits with some beautiful jewellery, including a delicate necklace, a few rings and some bracelets. My fave jewellery brand at the moment is Orelia, as they have the most exquisite fine gold jewellery that I adore! Don't forget to add a nice pair of heels and sexy lingerie to top off your look.

Have a fantastic night out and enjoy! What are you wearing for Valentines day?
